DJ ~2 years old. Good with older considerate children, seniors/elderly, dogs, and cats. Good with farm animals. Apartment appropriate.

Update! DJ continues to put on weight and muscle, and as he does, he gets more and more active. He will not be appropriate for an apartment but with some obedience training he will be appropriate for seniors/elderly. He’s going to need a fenced yard (at least 5’) and some way to exercise on a daily basis whether that is a running companion, another dog or someone who will throw the ball for him. DJ has some mild resource-guarding behavior so no small children.

DJ is a sweet, gentle soul who will do well in any situation. He loves to snuggle and if you don’t rub his head and ears, he’ll paw your hand. He is a quiet, peaceful dog who is ready to love and be loved.

Approximately 2 years old, DJ’s coat is a beautiful black and silver. He is fully crate and house trained. He does well with big dogs and would probably do fine with small dogs. He plays gently, and as he gets healthier, he will be more playful. DJ walks beautifully on a leash, and he is learning to sit and down on command. He loves to please, and he is food motivated so he will be easy to train.

DJ rarely barks so he would be apartment appropriate. He is also appropriate for seniors/elderly. DJ has qualities that would make him a good therapy dog.

Children - over the age of 10 years. Cats – with carefully managed intros.

PLEASE NOTE: DJ is on medical hold because he is severely under weight so adopters will have to be willing to wait until he is ready.
