My name is Dexter and I found myself in a sad situation. My owners originally bought me from a breeder at 8 weeks old. However, 2 years later, they took me to the shelter, after I was not coping well with children in the home. I have been very under-socialized, so new noises, textures, people, and environments are very stressful for me. I am currently working on building confidence, but I need a patient adopter to continue working with me on my social skills. I'm also a BIG boy at 105lbs, so I need a handler that can handle me if I get too scared and try to pull away. At this time, I am NOT good with cats, NOT good with kids, but GOOD with other dogs with slow introductions. A quiet home would be the best environment for me to learn and grow into my full potential. If my new family has previous German Shepherd experience, then that would be ideal.
