My wife and I were the first ones to put a deposit down on an upcoming German Shephard litter from Triad-K9 (

). We interviewed a bunch of breeders and also waiting until we found what seemed to be the best parents. We wanted to get 2 sibling dogs. In June of 2015, we took home Hunter (boy) and Harley (girl) from Triad-K-9. They were born in April of 2015.
After a few months, we realized that Harley was smarter then Hunter and also more aggressive/assertive – she was going to be the Alpha – both remain true today. I’ve had 6 dogs in my life and Harley is by far my favorite and I’ve never met a dog like her. I’m extremely sad that I need to find a new home for Harley and it’s very important that we find her the right fit/family. Harley is great with kids and people. We have had her boarded 20+ times at Continental Boarding and they have never had any issues with Harley interacting with other dogs. Over the years, Harley has picked fights with Hunter mainly due to jealousy with me but sometimes over a bone/toy. A year ago, my wife bought a 4-pound Maltese, so we now have 3 dogs. Harley constantly plays with both dogs, but she also is very controlling, wants to remain the Alpha, and does not want to share Me. My wife is pregnant, and we are concerned over Harley and the other dogs fighting in our house with a Toddler around. This is why we need to find her a new home. Harley will be at her best if she is the only dog in the house. Harley is the smartest dog I have ever met and her eye contact is better then most humans! She is very affectionate 1 on 1, loves to work, play, & be outside, and wants to always be by your side protecting you. Harley is around 65 pounds and we have not had any health issues with her to date. She is very pretty (which is why we call her pretty) and doesn’t shed as much as our other dog, Hunter. I created this Dropbox folder to show all of the incredible things that Harley does so you can get a full understanding of who she is. I would like to find her a home where she is the only dog and with a person that can give her the mental and physical stimulation that she needs. Harley does require a constant balance of exercise, playing, and doing tricks (mental stimulation). Harley doesn’t beg and only barks at squirrels, deer, and if she feels as though she needs to alert you for something. Harley does great in cars and I constantly take her to my office with me for a change in scenery. She would rather be by your side then playing or smelling another dog.
