Carli is a 71 pound a purebred GSD who was born on August 21, 2015. I got Carli on October 7, 2016. She was previously at the Anderson County Humane Society, who picked her up from a local kill shelter. They believed Carli previously lived on a farm, and was abused/left at the kill shelter after killing some of the farmer’s chickens…

Carli is a generally well behaved dog; she is very high energy and needs someone who is around a lot and willing/able to interact and play with her. Carli is used to morning walks and evening runs in the woods; Carli loves to stretch her long legs out and sprint after sticks/rocks thrown her way, and she loves running around in the woods jumping over, under, and around fallen trees and other obstacles. Carli also loves to get the sniff of any scent on her nose and chase it down; she is very smart when it comes to sniffing things out – she gets her treats by hunting them down after they are hidden in the house, and she really enjoys the challenge. Carli’s favorite toys are tennis balls; when she isn’t chewing on them, she is batting them around with her paws and running and pouncing on them.

Carli has a very sweet temperament, though she can sometimes still be a bit rambunctious at times. Carli is spayed, has been house and crate trained, has been through obedience school and does well with basic commands, and is current on all her shots, heartworm treatments, and flea prevention. Carli is still learning to trust people and other and animals, and as such, would probably be best suited for a home where she is the only pet, and in a home where a family can dedicate a lot of time and energy to her. Carli can be around cats, but she can still be a little skittish around them, and she will bark incessantly at them as they pass her yard. Carli is good with children once she is around them a little bit. It often takes her a couple minutes to get past being scared of children, but even before she does, she is very sweet and gentle with them, albeit sometimes a little standoffish at first. Carli does well at day camp and boarding, but she can still be skittish around other dogs outside of her familiar environments. Once Carli gets to know and trust another animal, though, she loves to run around chasing them and playing with them.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
