CAMI ~2-3 years old.  Good with kids and dogs.  Cats TBD.  Requires a home with a 6 foot fenced yard.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Hello world! Greeting coming at you from the fabulous Miss Cami! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am fairly new to the rescue...I was picked up as a stray, and nobody came looking for me. GSRA was kind enough to take me in and said they would fine me a home where I will be loved!

I am a very pretty black and tan girl, and am approx 2-3 years old. I am a mid sized German shepherd, weighing in at about 60 pounds. Don't let my smaller size fool you, I am amazingly strong! I am a very friendly girl, and enjoy getting attention! I have a fairly high energy level, so I will need a fenced yard, and a family that is willing to play with me or take me running to make sure I get enough exercise. I do like other dogs. I need proper introductions, as I get very excited when meeting new four legged friends. (My foster mom says I can sometimes be socially awkward until I get to know them). I will probably do best with a non-dominant dog.

I am a very smart girl. I am also exceptionally food motivated. I need a family that is going to work with me on training so I can learn how to channel my energy and become a well rounded dog. I know how to sit, but I need work on other commands, and also need to polish up on my leash walking skills...I tend to pull with excitement.

I am housebroken and crate trained. I am well behaved most of the time. I will get a bit barky at dinner time...I LOVE dinner time, and I get a bit vocal in anticipation of my food. I like going on excursions with my people. I need a family that will be patient with me and continue to introduce me to new situations and help continue building my confidence. I can be a bit excitable when I am first put in new surroundings, but I do calm down fairly quickly.

I have been tested with cats, and it appears that I am able to get along with them. Again, I will need a controlled setting for a while, but I do not seem to hold any animosity towards the fuzzy felines.

So, what do you say?? Are you looking for a smart girl that you can work with and be rewarded with a very loyal companion?? If so, come and meet me!
