Hi my name is Reno and my foster mom says I’m a very handsome boy. My prior family loved me a lot but did not have the time to train me properly and reinforce rules. So now I am apparently a “bratty teenager”, whatever that means. All I know is, I want whatever toy the other dogs have, until they don’t want it, then I don’t want it either. I have been trying very hard to mind my manners in my foster home and I hear “good boy” a lot so I must be getting better! Honestly I love making my foster mom happy, but I don’t understand the reason for all these RULES! I think me getting what I want, when I want is perfectly reasonable. So what do you say - are you up to the challenge of continuing my education? I can’t wait to find my new forever family.

From Reno’s Foster Mom:
Reno is a large unruly boy but has so much potential! He will need a strong pack leader who will provide a consistent structured home. Reno is high energy and will need a rough and tumble play mate who is not intimidated by his size and can help teach him how to be a pack member. He is house trained, crate trained, and an excellent leash walker. He knows sit and down. His attention span is almost non existent but he is slowly understanding the ‘wait’ command. He is a little mouthy and will jump up when excited but these bad behaviors are improving daily. Reno is not a first time sheppie kind of dog. He is living with small dogs but could not live only with them. He has lived with cats and would do fine with dog savvy cats. Reno needs plenty of physical and mental exercise. A commitment to formal training is a must for this guy.
