Meet Maverick, he is 3 years old. His birthday is 03/14/2015. Maverick has no health issues, the only issue we have ever had with him is upset stomach issues when he decides to get into something he is not supposed to. He is neutered, that occurred last year, my vet suggested to wait to allow him to completely grow. Maverick is trained on the basic level - he knows sit, down, wait, no, crate, leave it. I just recently took him to a training program where we worked on walking on a lead, heel and waiting while I walk off. He does tend to try to show he is dominant and be in control but he will respond with corrections. He knows his name and responds well to it. He is crate trained, he prefers to eat in his crate and he will protect his crate and food - not aggressively but with a stern warning bark (my cats are nosy and always want to see what he has and he lets them know with a bark that it is his). Maverick is good with dogs and cats, he wants to play and be friends. He is a bit of a scaredy cat, he will run away from squirrels. I have chickens and he has been around them when they are free ranging, and he only wants to walk around with them and "be friends." Maverick has never shown any signs of aggression towards humans or animals. He is wonderful with kids, he may be a bit much for young children but he has been around my son for 3 years, my son is now 12. Maverick is a lover, he enjoys being pet but does not like to be overwhelmed with love.
