https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety/videos/1765707610140164/ Shep has only 3 legs. His rear left leg was amputated at some point in his 5 year old lifetime. His body may be slightly broken but his spirit is not. His heart is aching for someone who does not require physical perfection and will value the abundance of love he will so joyously give. Shep is a head turning thick coated neutered German Shepherd. He is current on all vaccinations and is heart worm negative. He balances well and his movement is good. He loves to ride in a car, is mostly housebroken, and is not a friend to cats therefore only homes which have no kitties will be considered. A secure fenced yard is required. Shep's fee has been subsidized by a sponsor to $25. Application can be submitted online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. Each is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Adoption policies and application procedures are at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG.
