GEMMA ~2-3 years old.  Good with kids, dogs and cats.  Companion animal recommended.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Gemma is a smart, funny gal who really likes the good life. The thicker the bed the better. She will find it and sleep on it! Gemma has gotten along well with both of my dogs-one big, one small. Gemma seems to like having another dog around. She will get in the crate with the female dog or sleep right next to the crate when Savannah is in it. I think as long as Gemma has her people around then she will be ok but may do better with another dog. Gemma has lived with cats and that has taken some correcting but she does listen when I tell her no. If the cat stands still then it is fine but if the cat runs then Gemma wants to chase but is easily corrected. Gemma is very smart and already knows sit, lay and rollover. Gemma will test her boundaries so you have to be tough and be able to tell that cute face no. It doesn't take a lot to correct her but if you give her an inch then I think she will take a mile. Gemma is house and crate trained. She does like her crate so she will definitely need one. When Gemma lays down she kind of melts into the floor and watches by only moving her eyes. It is quite funny to see her do this. She will plop down wherever you stop and stand still. She has learned very quickly where the treats are kept and if you stop in the vicinity then she is alert and sitting ready to see what she can get. Gemma is a sweet gal looking for her forever home. And as an added bonus Gemma is not afraid of the vacuum cleaner!
