GEORGE  ~3 years old.  Good with dogs.  Not good with Cats.  Recommend no kids.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

George is a medium size love bug. He loves being with his human and follows you everywhere. If you sit down, he likes to come over and put his paws in your lap for attention. Or if you are relaxing on the couch, he likes to snuggle up to you. He is a very loving little fellow and only wants to be loved. George is a laid back fellow with a low to moderate activity level. If you’re up for a walk, he is right there beside you but if you want to relax in house, he is right there too. He enjoys going for walks and walks well on a leash. He doesn’t like to be too far away from his human. He also enjoys going for a car ride and rides very well. George can climb a 4’ fence but it has always been to come to me.

George is learning how to play with toys. He has done well with the current dogs in the house. He can get a little grumpy at times with them but usually a simply ‘eh eh’ will correct that. He is left to free roam the house while I'm gone with the other dogs and hasn't shown any destuctive behavior. He would do well in a home with a laid back dog or by himself if someone was home a lot. I don’t believe he would do well being by himself for long hours.

We don’t know anything about George’s past but he has shown to have some trust issues with men. Sadly that probably means that men haven’t been the kindest to him. He is a total love bug with women. So for now, he would do best in a home with only females. Because of his trust issues in general, I wouldn’t recommend a home with children. Once trust has been broken; it takes time, love and patience to rebuild. So if the right man was to come along and work with George, it’s possible he could help teach him that not all men are to be feared.

So if you’re looking for a lovable furry friend, maybe George is the one for you.
