TREVOR ~2 years old.  Good with dogs and cats.  Not good with kids.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Trevor is a very special dog. Trevor is not a dog for just anyone. Trevor's human is going to need to be patient, firm and devoted to protecting Trevor from his own tendencies.

Trevor looks like a teddy bear, with his plush fur and adorable "mini" ears. When you get to know him, and more importantly, when HE gets to know YOU, he is every bit as cuddly and as sweet as a real life teddy bear would be. However, it takes a lot of perseverance and patience on the human's part to allow Trevor into his world. It's worth the work though - I promise! When Trevor relaxes he is the cutest, funniest, goofiest dog. He loves playing with other dogs and in fact has helped many of his foster Mama's client dogs to learn how to lighten up and enjoy life. Trevor is also good with cats! Sometimes his curiosity gets the better of him and he gets a reminder from the cat not to get too carried away, but Trevor takes these corrections well and tries to remember the lesson for the next time he crosses paths with the cat.

Trevor is learning his leash manners but he needs a firm hand and gentle reminders how to walk like a gentleman. He rides like an absolute dream in the car and loves hanging out at restaurants and breweries, just as long as strangers don't get too close to him. He is perfectly comfortable in the crate but can also be trusted outside of the crate not to do any damage while his Mama is gone.

Trevor is truly a work in progress. He is going to need someone to see past his insecurities and recognize the amazing dog he can be. He would do best with a calm, confident doggie friend that he could show him the ropes and help guide him in appropriate behavior. Trevor isn't the dog for everyone, but for that one special person, he will be the dog of a lifetime.

*** It will be a condition of Trevor's adoption that he be enrolled in an obedience class with a trainer approved by GSRA ***
