DUKE ~ 1 1/2 years old. Good with dogs and cats. Kids TBD. Needs a companion animal.
GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only
Hi my name is Duke and my foster mom says I'm a stunning boy! I am 18 months old and have not completely grown into my feet and ears yet. I love to run and chase and chase and run. I love all dogs and don't mind cats too much. I am scared of new people and like to meet them with my foster mom on a leash so that I know she will protect me. I would really like a friendly brother or sister pup that I can play with all day.
Duke's Foster Mom: Duke is an awesome, beautiful, big goofy boy. He is good with big and small dogs. He is a submissive male and has no problem being told what to do by a confident pup. Due to Duke's fear of people his forever home will need a playful pup so that the transition will be easier for him. Duke is an excellent leash walker and could be a good jogging partner. Duke is house and crate trained. Does not get on furniture. He does still have some puppy manners and likes to take things that do not belong to him. Duke lives with 4 dogs and one kitten and gets along with them all. When nervous Duke's tendency is to run, and therefore he will need a fenced yard in his forever home. The fence does not need to be exceptionally high, he currently lives in a home that has a regular 4 foot chain link fence which he has never tried to jump or climb. Duke's new family will need to be patient and help him continue to learn that most people are good and kind. When he trusts you his personality is infectious and he prances around the yard as he follows you.
