MAXIMUS ~2.5 years old.  Good with dogs and cats.  Kids TBD.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Maximus f.k.a. Kaiser was not shown much attention in his short 2.5 years and it shows in his shyness and cautiousness when meeting news human whether it's children or adults (male or female). He has really started coming out of his shell recently and is now experiencing love and what a family is! He is learning what play is through interaction with his foster sibling Gheydis. He is a overgrown pup and it does show in his mannerisms. He is house trained and will let you know that he needs out by either plopping one of his rather large paws on you or going to the door and paws it. He is an avid eater, however he takes treats gently from your hand and does not mind if you take is food bowl away. He does mind however if another pet tries to interfere with his chew or food and will show his teeth, but he has thus far shown he is a submissive. Maximus has a quiet but assertive personality, and he is such a sweet boy who is a fine representative of his breed. He knows sit, paw, lay down and we are working on his leash manners and he doing really well with it! He would do really well with someone who likes to run because he is super fast! His long legs are made to go go go! He does need to add a little extra weight onto his frame but all in all he 100% healthy and is heartworm negative!

So what do you say?  Is Maximus the dark handsome boy for you?
