~4 years old.  Good with cats.  Not good with kids dogs.

Arwen just turned four. She's a spayed female German Shepherd dog, whom I got from a reputable breeder (Ravenhill in Bear Creek, NC). I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. I love her dearly, but I got divorced last year and had to downsize to a smaller house. Arwen had a big backyard and plenty of space to run before, but the house I had to move to is in the city and only has a tiny yard. Arwen loves to run and play (a frisbee and puncture proof horse ball are her top favorites and she'll fetch until she drops). and the changes have been very hard for her to deal with. I have a dog park nearby, but Arwen is too aggressive with other dogs to take there unless it's deserted (almost never).
Arwen is very sweet and loyal, she's my shadow and where ever I am, she is. She loves affection and cuddling and leans against you and looks up adoringly with her big soft eyes. She doesn't do well with other most dogs; she's very alpha and aggressive. Some boy dogs she's fine with and I boarded her with a trainer for nearly a month who did pack training and she adjusted Arwen into her pack without a problem, so someone who is a trainer or maybe has a different personality than mine may be capable of getting Arwen to be OK with other dogs. She does fine with my inside cats, but they mostly ignore each other. She expressed an interest in my mom's cats that live outside (but it might have been because they ran away from her and the prey drive kicked in.) Arwen is a great dog. She's very good in the house and has never chewed or destroyed anything. She was crate trained and I have been leaving her in the house unattended while went to work since sh e was 1 1/2. I have never had a problem beyond the occasional unresistable smelling thing that might be in the trash, but it's a rare occasion. She's very good and loves to play and spend time with people she knows. She's wary of strangers, but I think that's normal.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS.
