SKY  ~10 weeks old.  Good with older considerate children, dogs, and cats.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Hey there puppy lovers, meet Sky. She is a 10 week old black and tan German Shepherd mix. Sky is a happy happy playful little girl. We don’t know much about the first two months of her life. We do know that she was picked up as a stray by Animal Control, who contacted one of our GSRA volunteers. Sky’s new life as a GSRA pup began Thanksgiving morning.
Sky is your typical German Shepherd pup: very smart, great personality, playful and loves cuddling. She is crate trained and almost house trained. She knows sit and wait and is learning to walk on leash. She is good with other dogs, especially young ones who will play with her. Sky sleeps in her crate at night and when I am away from home. She rides well in the car.
Being a pup, Sky tries to mouth other dogs, especially their legs, feet and tails. So if she goes to a family with dogs, those dogs will need to be patient with Sky and teach Sky that mouthing is not acceptable.
Sky was tested with a cat and even though she thought the cat was a toy and wanted to play with it, we believe she would be good with dog savvy cats.
Sky’s new family will need time and patience to train and develop Sky to be a beautiful, disciplined, loyal and loving family member.
