BAXTER ~ 15 months old.  Good with dogs.  Kids and cats TBD.  Needs a companion animal.

Baxter is a gorgeous 15 month old boy. His owner was no longer able to keep him so she reached out to GSRA. He spent most of his time in a kennel and was let out once a day to play with another dog and get some exercise. He seems to of had limited exposure to a lot of stuff in his short life. He can be a bit unsure of new things in the beginning but quickly learns there is nothing to be nervous about.

Baxter is a wonderful and loving boy. He loves being with his family and has even decided a few times that he is a lap dog. He loves attention and bonds quickly to those who give him plenty. Baxter gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. He enjoys playing in water and is starting to learn about toys. He seems to of had some training. He knows how to sit and walks nicely on a leash and looks to his owner for direction.
Baxter can be a bit shy when he first meets people but quickly warms up with some attention. He is very loving and gentle. Even though he is a big boy, he is still a puppy and will need someone who can be patient with him while he learns all the wonderful things life has to offer. He is an energetic puppy so a playful companion and a fenced yard to play in would be best for this boy. I have a doggie door and he goes outside on his own to take care of business. He is left to free roam in part of the house with my boy while I’m at work. To have been an outside dog, he has done pretty well with this. It’s still a work in process but he is learning.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only
