GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Karma is a beautiful 14 month old girl with the sweetest disposition. She loves running and playing with her foster brother. She also enjoys playing with her toys. She loves to chase the toys when you throw them but hasn’t quite got the concept of bringing them back to you. :) She is a smart little girl and listens well. She knows the ‘leave it’ command and also takes correction well. A simple ‘leave it’ or ‘eh eh’ normally does the trick. She is very food motivated so this makes training a little easier.

She loves her belly rubs and all the attention she can get but she is also content to lay on the floor if you are busy. She is left to free roam part of the house with her foster brother while I’m at work. To be a puppy, she has done very well with this. She may take a rug out thru the doggie door but she hasn’t been destructive at all that I’ve seen. She has a basket of toys and they are normally on the floor or some outside when I get home but that’s what they are there for. :)
She has a submissive nature and only seems to want to play with other dogs. She did well when tested with cats and small dogs. She seemed more interested in playing with the puppy and didn’t seem interested that the cat was even there. She seems to have a little prey drive but when told to leave it, she redirects her attention.

She can be a bit timid at times when we’re taking a walk and wants to return to the safety of the house and yard. Having her foster brother along for the walks is helping her to learn to enjoy them but this is still a work in process. Because of her playful nature, she will require a playful companion. She will also require a fenced in yard and the fence must be at least 5’. She would be able to come over anything smaller than that. Since she is still a puppy, she will need someone who will be patient and continue to work and encourage her.
