DAKOTA ~3 year old.  Good with older considerate children and dogs.  No Cats.  Needs a companion animal.

GSRA Adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Dakota is a wonderful, happy, and loving girl. She loves to play, go for walks and I believe would do well as a running partner. She is full of energy and life. She LOVES to play with toys and seems to be especially fond of balls (jolly balls, tennis balls).  She loves to play ‘catch me if you can’.  She loves for you to throw the ball so she can run after it.  When we go to the big field, first thing she does is find her jolly ball and run, run, run. :~) She also LOVES the water.  She enjoys getting in the kiddie pool especially after she has had a good run.  She gets along with other dogs but does get excited when she meets them and barks.  She does well with older considerate children but not good with cats.

Dakota has a high prey drive so small animal are not recommended.  Because she has a lot of energy, an active family, with a playful submissive male companion and a fenced yard would be best for this little lady. She would do okay as an only dog if people were home a lot. Dakota can also be a bit reactive with some dogs so slow intros are in order. She will also need a strong leader.  She is house trained and is allowed to free roam the house with my other dog while I’m at work.

So what do you think?  Are you ready for a loving, affectionate, playful energetic cuddle bug?
