German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior
DAISY ~7 years old. Good with seniors/elderly, older considerate children, dogs and cats. Good with farm animals. Needs a companion animal. Apartment Appropriate. GSRA only adopts in VA, NC and SC Sometimes your whole world is turned upside down through no fault of your own. You are scared and terrified by all the uncertainty, such as when you find yourself in a noisy and loud shelter. But sometimes you get another chance, and find out that your new life is going be so much better than your old life. Such is the case with Daisy. Daisy was surrender to the shelter by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her due to the owner's declining health. Daisy had been loved, and cared for (The owner even gave the information from the vet she had been going to). However, Daisy had been kept as an outside dog. Daisy is a super sweet girl. Don't let this grey face fool you, she is seven years young. (just a little prematurely grey, but it happens to the best of us!).. As you can see by her video, this girl still has enough pep in her step. She has a good little bounce in her step, and wags her tail eagerly for attention. Daisy is a very loving, gentle, and well-mannered girl. She loves being with her family and will follow you wherever you go. She is very happy just to be around you, and have a nice soft dog bed to lay on. Daisy likes attention, and is very respectful. She will come and stay beside you and wag her tail, look up at you as if asking for a head rub. She is very quiet, and doesn't jump on you. She gets along very well with her foster brother and the female puppy who came to visit/ play. She can get a little apprehensive around young dogs and hyper dogs, and seems to prefer the company of middle-aged dogs who are calm like she is. She also walks well on leash and is housebroken. She is the perfect little lady when left to free roam in the home while I’m gone. Now as wonderful as this sweet girl is, she is also a bit shy when she first meets people. It takes her a little time to adjust but once she does, her true nature blossoms. She is more relaxed in the company of women and tends to be nervous with men. Daisy can get a little nervous at times with loud noises but has done well with them when she has her canine companion with her. If you're looking for a mild-mannered, gentle companion, look no further, Daisy is the girl for you!!!
