German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young
~2 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Not good with cats. Sable is a stunning 2 year old female. She found herself left at a local shelter along with her sister because sadly their owner was terminally ill and could no longer care for them. Sable was stressed at the shelter, but was eager for affection. Sable settled into her foster home quickly. She is a very smart girl and does take a few days to warm up to new people, but once she bonds she is very devoted. Sable loves to be near her people, and is a total goof about rolling over for belly rubs!! She will lean against your leg and slide down to roll over for a bit of attention. Sable is fairly calm in the house, and loves to curl up on the couch with you and watch TV. Sable enjoys playing with a few of her fellow doggie fosters. She seems fine with other dogs as long as she is properly introduced. She can get a bit defensive if she is jumped on, but for the most part she gets along well when playing. Sable loves to interact with her foster mom in the yard, and will eagerly run over when called. She has not shown any interest in playing with the tennis ball. She is great with adults and children although she has shown way too much interest in cats, so a kitty free home is a must. Sable is a very nice girl who is going to make a great addition to some lucky family.
