Please meet our sweet and lovable Bear....

Bear came to us from a shelter with his little sister Sassy. Can you believe no one coming to the shelter had any interest in these beautiful babies and they were at risk of being PTS???

Well Bear you are safe now!!!! His little sister had already found her home and now it is Bear’s turn…. So who is interested in a little lover boy?

This little fella has one of the sweetest temperaments and is a happy little puppy who loves to play, run, jump....eat, sleep, chew.......(Not always in that order) :O)
Yet he calms down just as quickly and LOVES to cuddle and receive belly rubs. One of his favorite things to do is follow you around and know everything you are doing in true German Shepherd fashion.

Bear is good with cats and will slowly approach to sniff them, but respects their desire to be left alone if told. He is also good with dogs of all sizes and would probably be good with other species of animals if introduced properly.

Bear is a very smart boy who is learning well from positive reinforcement, consistency, and redirection. He is crated when his foster mommy is away and at bed time with no issues. He knows to be calm at the door to go out and is learning new commands each day.

He loves to give you hugs, then lick your face, and maybe sneak in a slight playful nibble on your chin or face if he can. He is learning play nibbles are not acceptable and he is in no way mean about it, but this could scare the faint of heart or someone not expecting puppy nibbles. Therefore children or someone completely new to owning a dog are probably NOT a good idea with this little boy.

This little fella is a very smart boy and will do well with someone who is willing to follow through with the training he is already receiving. He is a great "starter" shepherd for those new to the breed or someone looking for a more mellow puppy; however, knowing more about the breed and how to channel his intelligence will help keep you both safe and happy.
