German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young
~1 year old. Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD. (Update 8/25, I promise I'll let you dress me up in silly costumes! Or better yet you could break me out of this crazy foster home with 3 kids and give me back my doggie dignity!) Meet cutie-pie Ladybug! She is a sweet southern Miss. Ladybug is a beautiful young girl that is ready to find a family of her very own to love forever. She is house trained. Can probably be re-crate trained. She has been doing great in her foster home without crating but was crated for the first few weeks without much problem. Ladybug is kid-tested, mother-approved. She is living with three children ages 6-11 and has done great. I'm not saying she won't grab a sock or stuffed animal and try to make a run for it but she just wants to play and give sloppy kisses. This charming young lady would be happy in most homes. She seems to enjoy other dogs her size, haven't had her around anything much smaller. She maybe petite but she is mighty and will probably try to be the Alpha girl. Ladybug LOVES to eat and probably still needs to gain 8-10 lbs to fill out. She also loves to run laps around the backyard chasing all the birds and squirrels out of her territory. The fact that she seems pretty interested in chasing off critters in the yard makes me think she may enjoy chasing cats a little too much for felines and their humans to feel comfortable. Ladybug is young and has lots of energy to walk, play, and explore but she is not the intense type that constantly needs a job. A nice long walk, a few laps in the yard, following her family around the house, and chewing on a Nylabone will suit her just fine. I'm sure she'd love to go on weekend hikes or other adventures. Ladybug is a wonderful and affectionate young dog and is just waiting for a family to call her own.
