Charlie is an energetic dog with a troubled past. We adopted him from a shelter when he was 4-6 months old and recovering from the veterinarian. His previous owners had left a collar on him so long it had torn up his neck enough to need stitches. He still has a scar, but it's not very noticeable. We think they may also have beaten or neglected him. Charlie's skittish but LOVES affection and approval, can't get enough of them. He's not aggressive, not a nervous biter, and gets along with our other dog (rott/lab mix) wonderfully. The most they do is play-fight. He also gets along with our cat, they love to chase/be chased by each other. He's housebroken and crate trained. No food aggression and he loves chewing up toys. He walks decently with a leash. Right now he's an outside dog because we don't have enough room inside our new house. We have a baby and work now and can't devote the time he really deserves. Because of his particular mix he barks like a regular dog but bays like a beagle when he's excited enough. He's about 45 lbs.

His harness, leash, some toys, and dogloo would come with him.

IDEAL HOME: Another pet around for him to play with would be great, especially a medium to large dog or something he could chase/herd. He'd probably do best with a family with older kids which can devote plenty of time and energy to play and affection, especially lots of petting, and which is also patient with him. A fenced yard, preferably big, is a must have so he can run a round (running is one of his favorite things to do, especially with something to chase). He could easily be an indoor dog as well, as long as he gets plenty of outdoor exercise.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS.
IF YOU NOTICE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE POSTER HAS BEEN REMOVED, THIS MEANS THE PUP IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
