Say, “Hello” to Mr. Personality. Niko is a little over a year old and the perfect specimen of German Shepherd Dog. He is guaranteed to give his forever family many laughs every day. He doesn’t really bark very often, but he does like to play!
Niko needs one of two types of forever home. He would do well with at least one other dog (more is better) who likes to play chase. A nice big yard would be good because he can really run fast. He would also do well with an owner who is very active and likes to get up early to exercise. If you need motivation to get up and run every morning, Niko is like your own personal trainer. He would do well with a long-distance runner who wants a little companionship. A home with no other dog would benefit from very frequent interactions with other dogs in the neighborhood or at the dog park.
Even though Niko is active, he likes to sleep beside your bed every night and will lie down next to you while you watch TV or work on the computer. He enjoys affection and will roll over so that you can rub is VERY soft tummy. Niko is good around children, but he is very active and may be a little too much for small children.
Niko is not dominant. He waits patiently for his food and is crate trained. He has the amazing ability to roll in dirt and mud, wallow in the grass, and still come up without anything on him. We call him the “stain-proof dog.” He is a stunningly beautiful dog with perfect GSD markings and build.
Niko will be the perfect pet for just the right family!
