~2-3 Years old. Good with older considerate children, dogs and cats.
Hi, my name is Maxx, or as my foster mama calls me, Maximus-Bodacious. I am a little more than 80 lbs, but I can take on anyone… not that I would, I’m just sayin’… I’m a very confident dog although noises that I don’t know can frighten me until I understand what they are. I impressed my foster mama right away because I already know a lot of commands and am excited to show her how well I can follow them. I’m house trained and respect my foster siblings – I love them in fact. There are no kitties in the house here, which is just as well. They make me curious, but they scare me a little, too, and I get defensive. Foster mama says I am beautiful. I’m not sure what good that does a dog, but it gets me lots of kisses. Apparently my coloring is like a typical black-n-tan GSD, but my tan has a little red in it… mama says that’s where I get my spunk.
Everyone keeps talking about my fur-ever home, but I’m not really sure what it is. If I had to dream, it would have a huge back yard – one with a 6 ft vinyl fence that I cannot climb. (I love to try new things.) There would also be an endless supply of chewies because I LOVE to chew. My favorite chew toys are foster mama’s shoes, but she says no anytime I even start thinking about it. So, I avoid temptation by keeping my toys close by. She says I’m a good boy like that. I think my perfect fur-ever home would have someone to play with… either another dog or person about my size. My mama is 5’6” and I can knock her over when we are playing (just for fun, of course!), so I’m hoping for someone like that to play with. Sometimes I like to have alone time with my toys and thoughts, but other times I LOVE playing with my foster siblings. I am crate trained and LOVE, (did I mention LOVE) to go for car rides and do errands with my foster mama. She’s a real good shopper and always takes me to places where we can get treats. Mostly, I really want my fur-ever home so that I can had my own family and be the wonderful dog that I already am. I’m so jealous of my foster siblings – I can’t wait to have a family of my own!!!
