German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Female (spayed) : : Young
(2-3 yrs old) Good with dogs and cats. Kids TBD. Good for seniors, apartment appropriate Bio Update (11/5/11) Addie is training very easily. She is crate trained, knows basic commands, and puts our own dog to shame on a leash. She maintains her calm and quiet disposition. She recently stayed with another family for a while and they had a few things to add. Addie was indifferent to their cats. She did great with one on one attention with people and other dog, but in a bigger pack, she seems to be a little lost. She is also very shy around strong alphas. I would recommend a cuddly family with no other dogs or one other sweet dog to take this fuzzy girl home and spend lazy afternoons on the couch with her. She is a serious love bug! Original Bio: Addie is a sweet, calm, young GSD mix. She looks all German Shepherd except for on slightly floppy ear and a multi-colored tongue. She warms up to new people quickly, but can be a little shy initially. She gets along with other dogs, but prefers human affection to rough housing with our young GSD boy. Addie is not kennel trained yet, and in fact hates her kennel. We are not convinced she needs it, but are trying to at least get her accustomed to it. She has lived in our house with a 2 year old male, and a 5 month old girl, and gets along nicely. She is house broken, but does not yet know commands. She is picking up things quickly, and I think she'll be an A+ student in no time. She was an owner surrender to a shelter and now is looking for a permanent home who will keep her forever. She has an extra soft coat and beautiful golden eyes. She is an easy girl who would fit in most families easily. More about AddieGood with Dogs, Good with Cats Special Needs: Heartworm positive.
