Hi, I’m Hachi!! YOU know, Haaaa cheeeee Anyway mom says I have to tell you my story so we can find a permanent adoptive home, I’m not sure why because I love where I am but mom says 6 dogs would be too much for her so I need a better home, one where I can get lots of attention and love and playtime! Not that she doesn’t love me of course, to be honest everyone that’s met me just adores me, but it’s hard to share with 5 other siblings, ya know? So, we’re on the hunt for an awesome home, one where I have at least one canine sibling to play with and take doggie cues from, I’m only 6-8 months old and had a big brother for my short life and he already found an awesome home so now I need another big brother or sister to help guide me while I grow up. I’m a little nervous/scared around new people and situations and mom says I have a bad habit of barking, she knows I’m just scared but she says other people don’t understand that and it can be scary for them too so I’m trying much harder to be brave. She says I will probably grow out of it in the right environment and an obedience class would do wonders for me. And I’m more nervous around men than women, of course at the reunion picnic I met this awesome guy, I barked at first cause I was scared but in less than 5 seconds I was snuggled under his arm getting love, so you see I just need some time and I’ll be fine.
So, more about me, oh yeah I’m pretty smart if I do say so myself, I’d be really easy to train, I just love to play with my foster siblings and my favorite thing to do is play in the water, and if you add a little dirt and make mud I’ll be your best friend FOR LIFE! I just love to roll and play and chase and roll in the water some more. I get along great with dogs (I’m what mom calls submissive) and ok with her one cat, she says she can’t guarantee I wouldn’t chase one or try to play but I’m not mean about it, I mean he’s pretty cool I just don’t see him much. I love everyone once I warm up to them and I ride great in the car. I need some practice on a leash because I like to pull a bit and at night I just want someone to curl up with on the couch. I’m still what Mom calls a baby even though I’m BIG, so give me lots of good stuff to chew or you may not like what I find, mom gets mad sometimes because I take things out in the yard to play with and chew, my favorites are the plastic food dishes, mom laughs and sometimes gets angry because she can’t find them but she thinks I’m funny too, it’s like I’m asking to be fed by carrying around the dish. I’m really just a big goofball and a lot like a big teddy bear with my long coat and I’m going to be HUGE! My brother Thor was 73lbs and we were really underweight when mom saved us.
Oh yeah, I forgot, our original owners surrendered us to a local shelter saying they couldn’t care for us anymore, it was sad but for the best, my belly is full everyday and I get to run and play and not be cramped up in a crate for long periods of time. I mean I can go the usually 9 hours or so but mom thinks our last family kept us locked up much more than that, my back legs didn’t have a lot of muscle and we got tired easily but a month of running and playing has made a huge difference and I’m getting better every day! I’m crate and house trained, up to date on all my vaccines and I’m neutered and heartworm negative. So, what do you say, can I come live the rest of my life with you?
