(5 1/2 yrs) Good with dogs (large & small), cats and kids. She is apartment appropriate, good with farm animals and would be good for seniors.

Jesse was found as a stray in around Washington, NC. A kind person picked her up and kept her for a month or so. However, she knew that she couldn't give Jesse the kind of care and attention she needed, so she handed her over to the Beaufort C AS. Luckily for Jesse, a good friend of GSRA, Mary, works there and so alerted us to this wonderful girl. Jesse was a shelter favorite - they loved her calm, friendly demeanor and often had her hang out with them in the office. Due to Jesse's age and her voluptuous looks, someone adopting her as a family dog and giving her the life she deserved was unlikely. So we made room for her in GSRA.

Jessie was found roaming the community. She has obviously been used for breeding purposes. Jessie is so beautiful. She is very quiet and calm, a little timid. Jessie lives on the farm with my other dogs and horses and gets along so well with everybody. She goes for a mile walk in the a.m. and she is outside again in the afternoon. Jessie had rather be in the house. She is quite loving and wants to please so much. Jessie settled right in and wants so much to be secure. She is a sweet heart.

Sweet Jesse. Although she was a breeding dog, she has adapted to house life well. She loves her brothers and sisters. She is respectful of the horses and walks about them casually. Jesse is quiet and so calm. She enjoys a morning walk with the others and loves to get in the pond. I think she enjoys resting in the house most of all. My grandchildren adore her and she is very nice with them. Will you please consider giving this wonderful gal a home of her own? Jesse will be your faithful and loyal companion. She will not demand a lot, just a pat and caress now and again. Her coat is so soft and she gleams a shiny black and deep tan.
