Hi! My name is Roman, mom says it should be Shredder but hey, Roman is much more noble sounding right? Mom saved me from a local shelter after I was picked up as a stray, adopted out and picked up again and put back in the shelter. Well, guess the guy that wanted me changed his mind, he put me outside and I got bored so I went exploring on my own for a few days, the guy said I should have been more thankful for him saving me and stayed in his yard, heck I would have if he’d given me some love and attention. See, I’m very people oriented and I don’t like being outside alone for long, now if I have a canine sibling or person to play with I’m fine but not by myself, that’s ssssooooooo boring! See I love people, I want to be with you 24/7 if you’ll let me and I love to play, of course mom says I’m still a baby (maybe a year old) and that’s just typical. Either way she calls me “medium to hi gh energy” boy, of course the first week I was there it was nothing but HIGH ENERGY but I’ve since calmed down and she says I probably fit the medium to high energy category now.  Well, wouldn’t you be labeled “high energy” if you were abandoned by at least 2 people and left to entertain yourself? Talk about stress! Well, it’s all good now because I know mom loves me and I may have to stay in a crate while she’s gone but when she gets home I’m FREE! I can run and play and she’s got 6 other dogs to play with! They don’t all necessarily like me or playing but enough of them play to keep me entertained. Now mom says I better tell you about the shredder nickname, see I love to shred paper and rags (clothes too but she won’t leave them out for me to get!), remember mom said I was a puppy and that’s typical puppy behavior right?

Anywho, I’m a super sweet loving boy, I don’t have a mean bone in my body, I love other dogs (as long as they’re nice to me of course) and people and mom says the jury is still out on cats. She has a cat and I really like him but he won’t let me chase him which I find very boring, mom may be ok with that but not me, I want to play! So, if you have any cats I’d love to come visit but I can’t guarantee I wouldn’t chase. I am crate trained and mom says she’s working on the housetraining, I’m a quick study and it would be great if you could teach me some more tricks and such. I’m a great companion in the car too, I love to ride and I’m very well behaved. I do pull on leash but like I said teach me please!  I do have the “herding” instinct, I can’t help it, call it genetics or whatever you want but mom isn’t overly crazy about it because she keeps tripping over me so no forever homes with fragile people that might break if I get in front of them. Let’s see, what else? I can be a bit mouthy especially when I’m nervous, I bark when mom leaves me in the crate to show I’m not overly thrilled about the situation so no apartments or townhomes where others will get upset if I decide to voice my opinion. A big backyard would be great so I can run and a canine sibling would be very beneficial, if I was going to be an only dog I would need to get out and socialize a lot or I could probably drive you crazy! Mom says it’s possible I wouldn’t do well as an only dog unless I had a LOT of stimulation but we wouldn’t know for sure until we tried.
