Hi, my name is Riley. My mom rescued me from the Wake Country Animal Shelter two months ago when my original owners surrendered me. She and I have formed a close bond through hikes, games, snuggles and daily walks. She says that my first pack must have lain the groundwork on basic commands because I've been able to show her many such as sit/stay/down/leave it/come/high-five/shake. I'm fully house-trained and most noises (even thunderstorms) don't freak me out.

So why is she looking for a new home for me after just two months? It seems that with my high-energy, high-focus, high-prey-drive tendencies that the city living just makes me too anxious. I do really well around people, kids, cars and the general hustle and bussle of downtown living, but our daily walks have made me more and more reactive to other dogs while I'm on the leash. I'm very excited to see them and grow frustrated when I can't just run up and play with them like I can when we're at the dog park. I've gone through a few training sessions with professionals and mom works with me on a daily basis. However, if living in the country is more suitable to my nature, than that is what my mom would rather see for me.

Mom has taken good care of me as I'm a healthy two year old lady with no health problems. If you have a place for me in your rural home, than I would love to join your pack. And mom would love to see me relaxed and happy too.
