Could you love me?  I am a 1 yr old female GSD mix from Alabama...I am very smart, quite pretty, but really confused.  See, my foster mom didn't know about my past, but saved me in the final hour...I was almost euthanized!

I am a really thankful that she saved me, but I am still used to being in survival mode.  I did a really bad thing and killed the family cat.  I can't explain why, but I just have a prey drive, I mean, I am a dog you know!

To be honest, I had puppies at a very young age, heck, I am only 1 year old now!  I don't know what happened to my babies, and I can't tell you about my history,  but my life up until now, wasn't very good.  I just had to take care of myself any way I could.  I didn't get the vetting I should have and now have heartworms.  I understand that the treatment is pretty rough, cause I am what they call HW+...My foster and some other folks at Coastal WGSD Rescue Referral are willing to pay for my treatment, I just need somewhere to live and learn to be a better companion.

My foster mom says I am really smart and I could maybe even be a service dog or something!  I really love my foster mom, but I think I need someone that can give me their undivided attention, someone that really understands my strong prey drive and can help me learn what is appropriate behavior when it comes to other small critters.
Can YOU love me?  Can you help me find my forever home?  If you or someone you know has experience with German Shepherds can help, please contact my foster mom, Meredith,  at meredithwil@gmail.com

From Cheyenne's foster mom:

Cheyenne is calm and sweet.  She minds and comes when called.  Wants to learn.  She is not defensive.  She is a good girl.  Outside I don't use a leash anymore.  She is flawlessly obedient.  She plays with Aja and Mellow, but keeps an eye on me the whole time and runs to me periodically to be sure I am ok with what she is doing.  She wants to please her master more than anything.  That Is What Drives Her.
