Tess is a gorgeous, healthy, and sweet treasure of a lady! Her previous caretaker had her since she was a tiny puppy, and you can tell that she has received a loving upbringing. Due to a recent illness in the family, she is now looking for a new forever home and is currently being fostered at the Tenth Street Animal Hospital in Greenville, NC. She is great with other dogs, tending to be on the submissive side, and her previous housemate was a small female Shih Tzu mix. Tess is also wonderful with people, and when asked to pose for these photos, we couldn't have asked for a more cooperative model. Everyone who cares for her remarks upon how affectionate and well behaved she is! Despite being in the senior category, Tess is in excellent health and is a happy, active dog. Recent bloodwork came back normal and she is up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. She does tend to be on the thin side, despite ample feeding and a norma l appetite. Both Tess' parents were German Shepherd Dogs, though there may be a tiny bit of "mystery breed" that snuck in. She has a striking appearance and strong, graceful movement. She enjoys playing with toys, is good on a leash, and is very devoted to her people. All of us at Tenth Street care for Tess and feel that such a fantastic dog should have a loving, permanent home of her very own. Please consider making Tess your new family member and best friend.
