Are you interested in a cute, energetic, low maintenance, female pup? If so, Bailey may be the girl for you. We don’t know anything about the first couple of months of her life, but we suspect that she was either born in the wild or her owners dumped her & her brother at a farm. Bailey was found 3 weeks ago in a ditch along the road. For a couple days she stayed near the same spot. Then a good Samaritan stopped and found Bailey staying with her brother who had been hit & died. The good Samaritan took Bailey into their home where Bailey was very well taken care of, especially putting some meat on her very thin body. Due to the good Samaritan being in the middle of moving , they asked the GSRA if we could take in Bailey. Reading her story & seeing her cute picture, how could I say no? So Bailey has been at my house for two weeks. We think she’s about 3 months old. She is crate & house trained. Bailey gets along fantastically with my three big female GSDs. She loves to run & play with them. She is starting to play with balls. She also entertains herself, given enough toys & chewies. At night when we settle down to watch TV in the living room, Bailey goes to the pile of toys & picks one up. She plays with it for 5 to 10 minutes & then goes for another one. This goes on until she decides it’s time to climb on the hearth & go to sleep. When I go to bed, Bailey goes into her crate. Bailey is learning to walk on a leash. Additional obedience training would be beneficial to help her build a relationship with her new owners. Again, we suspect she has had little contact with humans before 3 weeks ago. Bailey will sit on command, knows her name & is learning to come.
