Meet Toby and Scruffy! These 1 year old brothers are a fun loving duo just waiting to share all that they have to offer with the perfect "fur-ever" family.
Originally adopted from a shelter as young puppies, their former owner was unable to keep them and so sent them to live with a foster family. This move gave the boys the chance to show just how social and easy going they are!! Toby and Scruffy have adapted to their new home with ease, proving themselves to be excellent with both other dogs and small children! Still, they long for a family of their own with whom they can grow and share lots and lots of happy memories.
Toby and Scruffy will be the first to tell you that they love a good romp in the yard or a good game of "ball" each day - however, unlike a lot of other 1 year old pups, they are also very content to lay by your side and relax. For Scruffy, this means actually laying on top of you (he can never get close enough to his people!!) whereas the Tobster prefers to lounge nearby, still in eye sight of his humans, but not necessarily in direct contact. Yes folks, you get the best of both worlds with these boys - a snuggler as well as a more independent type!
With all this talk about snuggling I am sure you are wondering about Toby and Scruffy's personal hygiene habits. Well, worry not dear friends! These guys LOVE bath time - and really, water in general! Keeping them fresh and clean is a cinch! But that's not all! Not only can they be kept smelling as fresh as daisies - Toby and Scruffy are also accustomed to having their nails filed with a dremmel - so there will be no need to train for WWC (Worldwide Wrestling of Canines) in order to cut their nails! Seriously, these boys are as good as they come!
Now for the particulars: Toby and Scruffy are housebroken and each weigh between 50 and 60 pounds. They are neutered, heartworm negative, and fully vacinnated. Currently they are both on the health plan at PetSmart, and their foster parents have offered to extend the plan to help their fur-ever family get a head start on their care!
Though applications to adopt Tody and Scruffy separately will be considered, ideally they would love to be adopted out together. They've seen each other through some tuff times and take comfort in the company of each other. Being as sweet and as low maintenace as they both are, adopting the 2 dogs instead of 1 really won't be a big deal. They are that easy to hang out with.
