(7 years) Good with Dog & Older Kids, Not good with Cats.

Good Looking Black and Tan Searching for the perfect retirement home!

UPDATE: Miss Suzy is a new dog! It is absolutely amazing what a couple of months of love and good food will do. This 7 yr old isn't looking for retirement anymore; she is looking for a playmate. Now, don't get me wrong, she still will not run a 5K, but she can wrestle with my 2 yr old shepherd like a "young'in"! Come on…who wants to take this beautiful older girl into their home?? I really would adopt her myself if she just didn't like my cat so much! (The cat is not a fan!)

(Original bio) Miss Suzy is a special girl who just wants love and peace. She was taken to a shelter with her two pups and luckly they all landed with GSRA. Her family could not afford her care anymore.

Miss Suzy adjusted to our home with 3 dogs very well. She plays a little with our young dog and enjoys long lazy afternoons napping with our older fella.

She is definately a "mama" dog. Each night at dinner time, she makes sure all the other dogs have food before she eats her own. On our nightly walks everyone must be in front of her so she can see them. She will leave no pup or human behind!

On a sad note, every time a truck/SUV drives by she tries to get to it. I think her family drove a large vehicle like that and she keeps looking for them to return to her. ):

Miss Suzy needs mild exercise. Because of her hips she can not jog or run, but she can walk a nice steady mile (as long as you are willing to stop for occassional rests). However, she is gaining strength everyday.

Miss Suzy can't see out of her left eye. This causes her to want to be very close to you if she is walked at night.

If you want a calm, easy going girl to share your life with, Miss Suzy is the one for you. She is a wonderful cuddle bug and is the PERFECT dog for a less active home with NO CATS!

Miss Suzy needs a home that is willing to give her the love she deserves for as long as she has left. If you want to share that love she will give even more in return.
