Hi! My name is Alex, I’m a beautiful 11month old (esttimate) looking for a forever home!   I’m a super sweet boy, I love to play and run, the place I’m staying in has a big backyard that I get to run and play in.   You see my original owners stuck me outside and didn’t give me any attention and like so many others I ended up in a shelter in Fayetteville.   Well, believe you me it was probably the best thing that could have happened because the shelter called GSRA and they saved me, I get to stay inside in the air conditioning, I get food everyday and those pesky flies and gnats aren’t chewing my ears up anymore.   Of course my first introduction to my foster home wasn’t so great, I had a really long bath, mom had to scrub and scrub to get all the dirt and mats out of my coat, not to mention those horrible things they call fleas, I’m not sure what God intended when he put those things on earth but they are horrible! I am glad to report that my ear infection is gone, the tips of my ears have healed, my coat is just gorgeous and I’ve put on weight and my ribs are no longer showing.      So it sounds like things are right in the world again for me right?   Guess again, last week mom gets me up early and takes me for a car ride, I’m thinking this is so cool, I get to get out and have some fun today.   NOT!!   I ended up at a spay/neuter clinic and got NEUTERED!   HOLY COW what the heck is up with you people anyway, give a guy a break would ya?  

Ok, I’m ok now, just had to get that out. Whew.   I guess I have to admit that I really do enjoy living primarily indoors with regular meals, it is awfully hot outside and I feel bad for all the dogs that aren’t quite as lucky as I am.   I even get to lounge on the spare couch at night, I mean, what more could a guy ask for, right?   Now for the details, I’m about 11 months old now, up to date on all my vaccines and heartworm preventative, I’m neutered and microchipped and so ready for my new forever home.   Nothing against mom but I have 8, yes count them, 8 foster siblings and to be honest it can be a bit much for a guy like me. At first I was pretty defensive especially about my food (you would too if you didn’t get fed regularly!)   but I’ve really calmed down the last couple of weeks and realized that no one wants to steal my food or hurt me.   I absolutely adore people, I’d say I’m a people dog, not so much a dog’s dog but I can tolerate a couple of siblings.   I can be a bit dominant at times so a home where I can be King would be perfect!   I get along with most dogs but I’d prefer to have all females, you know, a guys dream right?   Oh, and mom says no cats, I’d love a cat! I really like to chase and harass cats, they are just so much fun but I guess if you love your cat like mom does you better look elsewhere for a companion.   Now, if you don’t care about your cat so much… ALEX!!!!    Oh, ok, sorry, just joking J   But really, ALEX!!!!!    Ok, ok, I give.

Ok, what else, I mean I am perfect if I do say so myself, I’m house and crate trained and I don’t chew as much as your typical 11 month old, I am still a baby though so don’t expect me to be to perfect.   I could make a good walking partner with some leash work, I’m a smart boy and would love to attend training classes with you, they can even help us bond, not that you’ll have any trouble bonding with me of course.   Now I do sometimes surf counters and trash cans if mom forgets and leaves the lid open but I’m sure we could work on that some, or you could just laugh and think “he just makes me laugh”.   So, what do you say, want to be my forever home???
