Hello, my friend, my name is Nova. I am an absolutely beautiful 10-month-old German Shepherd, female and I weight about 55 lbs. I don’t have papers but that doesn’t stop me from being super fun, super cute, super loving, and ready for a new home. I am working on my training, but I’m a puppy, so I still get distracted pretty easily. I know lots of different commands, but sometimes I get so excited that I forget.
I have three cats in my house that are old and sometimes grumpy and don’t like to play with me but I would love to play with them, and I’m nice when my owner tells me to lie down and be patient. My mom loves that I’m super patient while she’s working at home. I lay at her feet and look at her adoringly all day long until she’s ready to get up and play with me. Sometimes they leave me in the house while they go to school or work or to visit family and I never get into things I shouldn’t and I’m not sad at all. I eat very good food and they never share their food with me so I don’t even know to beg. When my family got me in June, I was pretty sick because my mom had given me mange, but it was very hard to figure out what was wrong with me. They also were planning on buying a house with a yard so I could run and play but some sad things happened and my family were not able to get the house and we are stuck in a small apartment. Because I was so sick so long, my mom let me go potty on the PeePee pad, and because it took several months for me to get better. I have a very hard time understanding that that’s not where I’m supposed to go. I never have accidents anywhere in the house. I go where they told me to go, in the hallway, on the nice washable PeePee pad. I don’t have a yard and have never been able to run around and play off-leash, my mom lets me run in the enclosed tennis court at our complex, but I would love to be able to have grass under my feet. I love to go on car rides with my mom. I’m super sweet and I hardly ever get sick, but no matter how many cool places we stop at or how long we are out, I hold my pee until I get home or simply can’t hold it anymore. My mom spoke to a trainer and was told that I needed a change of scenery and lots of patience for a couple of weeks, but that I’m super smart and can be house-trained. I sleep in a crate all night and I don’t have any problems. I’m such a good girl. I’m hoping to find a home, maybe with a brother or sister dog, because I love to play and I will bring all my toys and treats will me. My favorite game is fetch and I can jump really high to catch things! I also really love kids, but I get so excited and forget how big I am. I would never hurt anyone and I never bark. I’m pretty close to perfect, but my mom can’t have me in this apartment anymore. She’s really sad but she also knows that I’ll be happier where I can have a yard and friends to play with or at least someone who has more time for me than my mom does because she works a lot. I hope you like my pictures, it shows my silly personality. Hope to hear from you soon. My mom has lots more pictures and will answer texts pretty fast.
