Apollo is a 5 1/2 yr old, beautiful German Shepherd Purebred Male. He has been the most amazing family dog for us, but he is an Alpha Male. Very protective of the family and he has fought with our other dogs a few times. He has never bit a person. He cannot go to a home with other dogs as he will try to be in control and could cause issues. He has always been great with our kids, they love him. He is well trained; he hits a bell when he needs to go to the bathroom! He can sit, stay, leave it, look, come, down, paw, and heel. One fun quirk is he likes to chase light like a cat.

Overall, he is calm and has a heart of gold except in these situations

1. With other dogs he will play and be fine, but then can decide he needs to be in charge one day and will fight with them.

2. If he sees a school bus or cars that keep coming by your house he will bark, and it is loud because he is an 80 lb male shepherd who hates cars.

3. Car rides can be loud, because he sometimes barks at cars going by the car he is in.

4. He is very protective like all dogs, but because of his size it can be scary for some. So, when he barks at the mailman, it is a loud aggressive bark.

He needs an owner who wants a new best friend. He will be loyal and will protect his new family like only a GSD can.
