Annie is an approximately 5 year old GSD, who is spayed, doesn't get on furniture, comes when called and is completely housebroken. She's a sweet, loving girl too. The first three years of her life were spent mostly in a cage. The last two years have been spent learning that people can be nice. She went to a police dog trainer for three weeks to get over her fears. He said he has seen a lot of dogs but has a soft spot especially for her because she's such a nice dog and has no aggression.
All that said, Covid made me realize she would be much better off more in the country than in our home. She still is panicked and barks and growls when people come in or by our house (and there are a lot of kids that knock on our door and run into our house, that means she's panicked a lot). When no one was coming by or when it was a rare knock at the door, she was able to relax. She loves to lay around, take walks or bask in the sun. She loves to be with her people. She is great around kids (once she gets over the shock of their knocking or barging in). She seems scared of dogs at first, but she's made friends with a labradoodle puppy down the street, did great with the other dogs at the dog trainer's farm and stayed for 5 days at a dog boarding house with about 7 other dogs and she was happy and relaxed by the end. So, I think she would be good with another dog but haven't tested her with lots of dogs. If you think you have a home that would be a good fit for Annie, please send me an email.
