DRAGON ~5 years old.  Good with older considerate children, female dogs, and cats.  Good with altered male dogs after careful intros.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Dragon is good with female dogs of all sizes, and altered male dogs with careful introductions. Also good with cats. While very patient with them, young children make him nervous. He could be great with older considerate kids. He does not need a companion animal and would be perfectly content to be the only dog in the household. Housebroken and crate trained. He walks well on leash, but pulls quite a bit getting out of the door. It’s only because he’s excited to be out and about. Dragon rides well in the car. He has NO interest in being outdoors without his person. He is VERY velcro. Thunder and fireworks scare him and will cause him to come to wherever you are and lean in for reassurance. Dragon will sleep in his crate overnight, but will not tolerate being crated for hours at a time during the day. He really needs a forever home where there is someone home more often than not: a stay at home parent, someone who works from home, or a retiree would be ideal. He wants to be close to his people... in the same room with them in his line of sight, preferably. Dragon loves attention. A lot. To the point of being bossy at times. We have been working on correcting that, and he will go lay down when instructed. He’s somewhat treat motivated and continued obedience training will enable him to blossom further.
