GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Hi everyone, my name is Cash; allow me to introduce myself! I got myself into a jam and dropped at the shelter over an encounter with a chicken. The shelter thought I was a good boy and reached out to the rescue to help me. Since coming to my foster home, I'm learning all kinds of fun things, like how to be an inside dog and where to go to the bathroom. I'm also learning that the crate is a place to keep me safe and protected when my foster mom isn't home and a great place to sleep! I love everyone I meet, even other dogs. I love my two foster sisters and we play chase in the yard and pull out all the toys in toy box when inside. I try to be respectful of their space and share the toys, my foster mom thinks I do a good job at that. I would love to have a family of my own that either has a sibling for me to play with or I would be OK as an only pet as I love the attention all to myself! My foster thinks I'm a gem that needs a little polishing and that my eyes will allow me to get away with things that I shouldn't be - it's hard being handsome!

From Foster Mom: Cash is a wonderful little boy! He is respectful of other dogs and people and takes correction exceptionally easy. He has probably never lived inside a home so we are working on the basics, including bathroom training. He is picking things up quickly and is observant of what his foster sisters do. He is a very loving boy, he comes up to me often for a hug, kiss or pet and doesn't like it when he can't see me. We're working on this insecurity but I believe he is just relieved to have someone love on him and shower him with affection. He does have a little food guarding so its best to feed him separately and prepare the food without any of dogs around. He does do well when I have all of them sit for a treat so it appears it's just the food bowl(s) that brings out the worst. He's going to need a home with the patience and experience to keep working with him on his house manners. He is a smart boy, so he is learning quickly how to live in the house. With Cash's temperament, he can live with other dogs or be an only pet. He's just an all-around, great boy looking for his forever family.

PLEASE NOTE: Cash is Heartworm positive and will needs to go thru Heartworm Treatment.
