JOEY ~10 - 12 months old.  Good with older considerate children and dogs.  Good for seniors/elderly.   Needs a companion animal. Good with Cats.

Who is looking for a little Puppy Love?  Joey is a sweet gentle puppy and has lots of love to give. To be a puppy, he is actually pretty calm. He is a bit shy when he first meets new people but once he gets to know you, he’s like your little shadow. He loves to be where ever you are and getting any attention you’d want to give. He enjoys playing with toys and helps himself to the toy box to find new ones to play with. :~) He also enjoys playing with his foster canine sibling. He gets along with the other dogs but he does take a little bit to warm up. Within a day, Joey and Lea were playing with each other. :~) Joey is house trained and had done very well with free roam of the house 24/7. I also think with his personality he would do okay with cats. 

Joey and the rest of his family were found after hurricane Flo. The owners were contacted but sadly no one ever came to get them. :-(

Joey will need someone who will continue to work with him and help build his confidence. Joey walks well on a leash and even though he was a little unsure at first; he now enjoys going for walks all by himself like the big dogs. Lol  He is learning his basic commands and has picked them up nicely. He is also food motivated so that’s always a good thing. :~) He was scared at the shelter and when he first got to his foster home. But it didn’t take long for him to realize he was safe and started to relax and be a puppy. He just needs some who will be a little patient with him.

It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.

PLEASE NOTE: Joey has started HW treatment and will not be placed in a new home until mid-April at the earliest.  Potential families must be willing to wait.
