SAM ~ 2 years old.  Good with kids, dogs, cats and farm animals.

Sam, super-duper Sam. What a great guy we have. Sam came to us only out of need and concern from his prior owner. His prior owner is terminally ill, and even in that situation was concerned about Sam's well-being for the future. His owner found the right rescue because we will take incredible care of Sam and find him the most wonderful home where he is loved like he is accustomed to.

Sam is a Big boy; he's tall, lean, & has legs for miles. He is calm, but can be cranked up by a game of fetch; a stick, a ball, a frisbee, a toy, anything throwable..Sam will run & retrieve it back to you to throw over & over & over again. I'm teaching him, "bring it" and "drop it." He is crate trained and calm in the house, but will bark if he sees something outside, so community living could be an issue with the neighbors. He walks well on a leash. He has to be wherever you are in the house. So, that means he's in the bathroom with you; hope you're not shy. Big Sam rides well in the car & will settle after he tires of counting cars that go by.

He's a big goofball that needs a home that will fill the void from his previous life. It was good, just cut short. In that life, he lived with two small dogs, cats, and chickens. But careful introduction would still be needed. He's a great, easy-going guy who would benefit from a strong bond with his people. Developing that bond will need to include multiple walks during the day, lots of playing fetch, and his human looking out for his best interests.
