German Shepherd Dog : : Female (spayed)
KARBY ~5 1/2 years old. Good with kids, dogs and cats. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only Hello world, My name is Karby, and I am applying for the position of loving companion dog for your household! My resume is a bit brief, but I will elaborate. I am a beautiful bi-colored female. I am in the medium/large size range, I weigh 68 pounds. I have very distinctive ears...they stand tall, and are rounded on the tips, my foster mom calls them bunny ears! I am 5 1/2 years old. This is a true age. you see, I was picked up running at large and ended up at local NC shelter. I was already micro-chipped. My family was contacted, but did not want to pay the fees to get me back. I was lucky enough to get into the rescue, and they researched my chip a bit further to see if they could find any medical records. They did, and that's how they found out my true age, and the fact that I am already spayed! Well, enough about that...it is all in the past, and I am ready to find a family that will love me forever. I am a very sweet and attentive girl. I know how to sit on command, and will happily give you my paw when you ask for it. I am very generous with the paw, I sometimes offer the paw without even being asked. I LOVE the tennis ball, and would love a family where someone will play ball with me! I even let you take it back from me to throw again, how cool is that! I am housebroken and crate trained, and I ride very well in the car. I have good focus and am eager to learn. I just want to be near my people. I am ok around calm dogs that ignore me, but I do not have much tolerance for hyper dogs, or dogs that get in my face. (My foster mom says that I can be socially awkward around other dogs.) I am quiet and crate trained, and also housebroken. I have very good manners if I do say so myself. I am well behaved in the house. I was cat tested at the shelter, and they said I was scared of them. However, the shelter was scary in general, so if you have a feline, I will need to be retested in a less chaotic environment. So, what do you say?? I know my resume reads pretty well, but I know if you give me the chance to interview in person I will be sure to convince you that I deserve the position of loving companion dog. Sincerely, Karby P.S do have this heartworm positive situation going on. The rescue said they will treat me for this, and then I will be ready to start my life with the lucky family who pick me. Come meet me soon. I would like to find my family and be ready to go once my treatment is complete!
