STELLA ~4 years old.  Good with kids and dogs.  Cats TBD.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Stella is a beautiful 4 year old black and tan girl. She is a little shy when she first meets people but warms up nicely to her family.  She is a loving girl who loves being around her humans.  She loves going for walks, hikes, etc and loves going for car rides.  She is a dream in the car. :~) She can be a little talker at times. When she wants something, she will come up to you and try her best to tell you what it is.  It’s so cute.   It normally means she wants something to eat, to go outside or just some good old-fashion love.  She is an easy going girl and sweet as can be.  She gets along with my other dogs and hasn’t shown any issue when meeting new dogs in town.  Now cats on the other hand may not be the best choice for this girl.  She does have a prey drive so she may chase.  She still does need to be tested.

Stella is house-trained and is left to free roam my home with my other two dogs while I’m away.  I haven’t seen any destructive behavior from her.  She did a little counter surfing the first few days but I haven’t seen any issues since then.  Now she does love to eat but really, who doesn’t. lol  So her food would need to be in a secure container or located where she couldn’t get to it.  When she first came here, I had the lid on the container but it wasn’t secure.  So she lifted the lid off and decided to have an afternoon snack.  :~)  So now, I make sure the lid is secure and haven’t had a problem since.

Stella knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash.  She does well with dogs and children.  She was an owner surrender and was raised as a puppy with children.  They said the 5 year old could walk her with no problem.  Stella would do fine in a home with another dog or as an only dog if someone was home a lot.  I don’t believe she would do well being alone all day.  She would love a family who was active and enjoyed taking their pup with them.  She is a wonderful girl.

So if you’re looking for a loving girl, maybe she is the one for you.
