OAKLEY ~2 years old. Good with dogs and cats. Kids TBD. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only
My name is Oakley and WOW how my life has changed for the better.
Just a few short months ago I was alone on the streets emaciated with injuries to my back legs and hips. I wandered through neighborhoods wondering how I was going to survive. Luckily a good, no make that GREAT, Samaritan saw through the dirt that covered my thin body and saved me. This wonderful human cleaned me up, took me to the vet and began to nurse me back to health. She brought me inside to live with her dogs and cats and other human. Now, as hard as it is for her, it is time for me to find my forever home.
From Oakley’s foster mom:
Oakley is an untrained GSD puppy in a stunning 65 pound body. In order to thrive, he will need an owner with GSD breed experience who is willing and able to handle his obedience training. He is very smart so he will need mental as well as physical exercise DAILY. Oakley and the resident cats have a gate between them and he has learned to mostly ignore them since they don’t want to play with him. More about OakleyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Adults, Very vocal, Requires a yard, Cratetrained, Needs special care, Intelligent Special Needs: Oakley’s injuries were actually diagnosed as a right-sided hip dysplasia. This is a lifelong issue so his new family will need to have the resources to continue exercising him and giving him glucosamine chews daily. He may occasionally need some pain relievers if he is having a bad day, which has yet to happen. Current Scheduled Events:
