Hey there!! My name is Anika, or Nika for short! I am a stunning girl with a lot of love to give. I am about 2 years old. I am super friendly and affectionate, and want nothing more than to be near my people. I love everybody! I am a real cuddle bug and love to give kisses and be petted. I am also very willing to give the paw in exchange for some attention. I am an extremely happy girl, and my tail never stops wagging. I walk well on a leash and ride well in the car. I still have a lot of puppy mannerisms. I love playing with toys, and will occasionally decide to play with a "toy" or object that does not belong to me. Whoops! I am learning, but will need a family willing to continue my training. I am a healthy girl! I am blind in one eye, but it does not seem to bother me one bit.

I am a medium energy girl. I like to run and play in the yard, but I also am very calm in the house and am content to lay on my dog bed and play with my chew toys. I am a bit nervous about other dogs. Male dogs seem more agreeable to me. I am working on learning how to interact with them. I have a bit of an attitude towards female dogs. My foster mom is working on this with me. I have a high prey drive, and get overly excited when I see cats, so a kitty free home is a must. I am quite agile too...I will need a yard with a privacy fence. I have demonstrated that I can climb a chainlink fence.

From foster mom:
Anika is a total doll! She is friendly, well mannered, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. She does have a tendency to chew when she gets bored, but that is normal puppy behavior. Anika is a very submissive dog. She will lower her head when she approaches you for attention. She takes verbal correction very easily. She is a wonderful dog that will flourish in a home with a family that will spend a lot of time with her. She would be happiest in a home where there is someone home most of the time. Come meet Anika soon, she won't last long!!
