Foster Diary:
Meet Riley…Riley was found hanging out, at the school bus stop, with some neighborhood kids. Apparently, Riley had been meeting the kids every morning. They named him “Tapow” thinking that the brand Top Paw on his collar was his name. Riley could not continue to roam the streets, and since his previous owners could not be located, we officially took Riley in. Riley has been in foster care for about two weeks. He is adjusting very well and is ready to find his forever home. Riley does well with dog-savvy cats and has not shown any aggression toward fellow dogs. He has been to the vet twice, vaccines and neuter, and has received wonderful reports on his behavior both times. Riley does very well with my three-year-old son and would do wonderful in a home with children. Riley is, officially, the sweetest dog I have fostered. All he wants is love, attention, and cheese. He is very eager to please and is easily corrected with a firm, “No.” I do not think his previous “owners” treated him very kindly as he does show slight signs of abuse. However, he LOVES people and he warms up very quickly. Even though Riley is between 1-2 years old, he is still very much a puppy. He would benefit from obedience training, which would also be a great bonding experience. Are you ready to welcome Riley into your home?
