Foster Diary

Meet Hazel! Now, I know you came expecting to see a lot of black & tan, but this little baby has a GS mom and dad looks like he might be a lab or lab mix! Either way, Hazel is full of love! She is a very people-orientated dog, willing to follow her person wherever he or she may go. She is crate-trained and we are working on housetraining, leash skills, and basic manners. She has learned to bark at the back door when she wants to go out to potty. Hazel is really enjoying her walks each morning and loves all the new people and dogs we meet. She is always respectful of other dogs and respects her foster sister who doesn't quite have the energy that Hazel does. She sits politely waiting for people to notice and occasionally will give you her paw if she feels she needs a bit more attention :). Hazel hasn't been around cats as of yet, but is eager to learn so I don't anticipate cats being an issue. She is still learning about all the exciting and new things in the world...so far ants are quite fun to chase and baths are not fun at all! More to come as she grows.......
