Foster Diary

Hi Everyone..my name is Barron...I'm 10 yrs young. My foster mom says I'm a young spirit stuck in an old man's body. I love to be the life of the party but I'm not one to stay up late! I love belly rubs and ear scratches and will carry on a conversation with you any time you want.

I love to talk and mom says I have alot to say. I get along great with everyone...new people, my foster brother and sister and even the cats that live here. I just give those kitties a sideways glance as they walk past me. I love to play catch and know the difference between a stick and a ball but I'm only good for about 15 min and then I'm ready for a nap. That means I'm the perfect pal for a laid back home or an older family who want a great friend and fantastic watch dog. I'll alert you to anyone coming near your home. I don't know how to walk on a leash, my foster mom thinks that my other owner never took me walking, so long walks aren't something I need. Just love! My foster mom has a few things she wants to say: Barron is a wonderful older dog. He has some hip issues but with his medicine he doesn't seem to have any real problems with them just typical of the older German Shepherds. He also has food allergies but with the right food we are getting past that as well. His former owner could not keep him any longer because of declining health. Barron is the perfect house guest, his dad must have loved him alot. He is one of the sweetest seniors I've had the pleasure of fostering. If you are looking for a great laid back GSD, Barron is the perfect answer. If you've never had the experience of meeting a GS senior you are missing the joy of the breed!
